Good Morning Hip Hop: Find A Way - ATCQ
"Find a Way" is a song by ATCQ, the first single from their fifth album The Love Movement. The New York Times' Ben Ratliff wrote that "Find a Way" "innocently wonders about the point at which friendship spills over into sex."
This is one of many favorite ATCQ (A Tribe Called Quest) tracks. Produced by Ummah a collective group of producers Q Tip, J. Dilla, and Ali Shaheed Muhammad.
The word "Ummah" is Arabic for "community", "nation", or "brotherhood". Generally, the term refers to the global Muslim population.
The track was for the Love Movement Album releases August 25, 1998. The track features samples from "Technova" by Towa Tei.
The Song peaked at #18 on the U.S. Hot Rap Singles.
Peaking at #71 on the U S. Billboards Hot 100.
Also #29 on U S. Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks
This video was classic Tribe reminiscence to the old "Bonita Applebum" and "Left My Wallet In El Segundo" videos. Interacting with some girls while in California. Attending a Party, and the visual of earth.
Lyrics were really showcased on this classic track. Personally, I would have loved to see Dilla featured on this one with his own verse.
My favorite part about the video was the bouncing ball during the chorus. Made the video fun to watch and follow along.
Hope this takes you back to a great time it did for me sharing it. Djing parties this was always a go to record. And just a vibe for my mornings like today.
